MORE ABOUT ROYAL SPARKLE FACE PAINTING
I have learned so much over the years of face painting. What materials to use, how to work with children, patience at busy events, how to help multiple people at once and how to have fun doing the craft that I love!
I know that hiring a professional face painter will get you the BEST results at your party!
Some questions that I am often asked are important and worth explaining - and this will show you why you want to hire the right painter for your event..
1) What paints do you use? I have seen far too often people painting with craft paints... Tempera paint, acrylic paint, craft type paint and even HOUSE paint! While the paint may say non-toxic, that does not mean they are meant for skin!!! While a face painter may want to cut costs to pass the savings on to you, this is dangerous and should not be accepted, ever! I only use professional face paints purchased at websites / locations that carry appropriate supplies. Some brands that I use are Wolfe, TAG body art, Global and Silly Farm.
2) Do you need to be insured? No, but should they be? Yes, a face painter should be insured. This protects you and me incase there is a bad reaction to the materials used at an event. I am insured thru Beauty & Bodywork Insurance.
3) Are you an artist? How long have you been face painting? How did you start? That is a great story.... I come from a family of artists. We dabble in oil painting, paper crafts, scrap art with fabrics, embroidery as well as water color painting. Paper crafts and scrapbooking was a medium I really enjoyed. Once I volunteered at an event for my sons school. I met a professional Face Painter, Clementine from Clementine the Amazing (www.clementinetheamazing.com) and I was enamored with the materials she used and her amazing talent! We became fast friends and worked together for 6 years. I learned so much from her!
